Steve Bellotti - CEO & CIO
Steve has an extensive track record in building and running large, complex Global Markets and Loans businesses and has proven to be a very effective leader and investor across global financial markets. He has worked in leadership roles in financial markets for over 30 years, across all asset classes, at MD level for over 22 years. He has built a number of large, complex global markets operations for global banks, including Merrill Lynch and Dresdner Kleinwort in London, New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. Steve’s most recent role was MD Global Markets & Loans for ANZ Bank, where he managed over AUD$300b in assets.
Fred Pucci - General Counsel
Fred is the General Counsel covering all legal aspects of both advising and investing in blockchain-focused assets and businesses. Previously Fred was the Head of Compliance for Global Markets and the International & Institutional Banking division of ANZ Bank, based in Hong Kong. Formerly a partner at Ashurst, Fred also served as the Head of Legal & Policy in the Market Supervision department of the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, and Head of Legal in the Trading Department of the Australian Securities Exchange. He is a Master of Laws graduate from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.
James Walker - Distribution
James has 20 years’ experience working across investment banking and private equity, and as a principal investor in a number of businesses. James is a Co-Founder and Director of principal investment and corporate advisory firm 153 East Partners and sits on the Board of a number of its investee companies. Previously James was Head of the Private Capital Group at ANZ Bank in Australia and an equity partner in the private equity group Blue Sky Capital in the US and UK. In the course of his career, James has completed a large range of transactions and investments as a principal as well as with a wide variety of investors, including hedge funds, private equity groups, pension funds and family offices.
Tim Breen - Distribution
Tim has in excess of 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry encompassing banking, stockbroking, funds management and private equity. Tim is a Co-Founder and Director of principal investment and corporate advisory firm 153 East Partners and sits on the Board of a number of its investee companies. Tim was previously a stockbroker with Patersons Securities, Tolhurst and Tricom where he gained many years experience completing capital raisings for a wide range of businesses, before becoming the Managing Director of an Australian based alternate investment manager.
Jon Deane - CEO
Jon has over 15 years’ experience managing global markets businesses, as well as individually managing large complex risk positions, for international investment banks, including JP Morgan and UBS AG. Over the course of his career he was Managing Director, Head of Asia Commodities Trading for JP Morgan, based out of Singapore, focused primarily on physical bullion, financial energy, metals and agricultural derivatives. Prior to this, Jon was based in London, as Managing Director of derivatives trading business for just under a decade, with a team based in New York, Singapore and London.
Bob Tucker - Co-Founder / COO
Bob has over 25 years of experience managing businesses for leading financial institutions and asset managers, including Barclays Capital, Man Investments and ANZ Bank. Most recently, Bob was the Head of Business Management for the Global Markets and Institutional Loans division of ANZ Bank. From 1999 until 2007, he was based in London and Chicago as COO within Man Investments, a US$60bn alternative investment manager. Bob is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has also been directly involved in a number of early stage ventures, from start-up phase through to IPO.
Will Hamilton - Portfolio Management
Will previously operated a privately traded long/short fund specializing in cryptocurrency, equities and hard commodities. The fund focused on automated short term trading strategies whilst taking larger/longer term positions based on qualitative logics. Will has been heavily involved in the cryptocurrency industry since 2016 and has a deep knowledge of its intricacies and the strategies necessary to maximise profit. Prior to this he worked at Pitt Capital Partners, the internal investment bank of investment house Washington H. Sol Pattinson (‘ASX:SOL’). He holds a Masters of Business and Bachelors of Science with first class honours from Flinders University.
Kosta Kourkoumelis - Fund Operations
Kosta is a senior banking professional with significant experience at top tier global firms working in offices across London and Sydney. Possessing both commercial acumen and disciplined delivery from working in Global Markets across frontline and support roles. Most recently, Kosta worked at ANZ Bank in Sydney as a Director in Business Management for the Global Markets business. From 2004 – 2011, Kosta was a Director at Merrill Lynch in London and was responsible for managing strategic relationships with Real Money and Hedge Fund clients in Global Markets EMEA.
David Richardson – Director (TCM Global Asset Management Ltd)
David began his professional career in the investment business over 30 years ago, within a preeminent Canadian investment house, Walwyn Stodgell Cochrane & Murray (now Merrill Lynch Canada). In 1987, he joined the Bank of Bermuda in Bermuda as Portfolio Manager, where he personally oversaw the management of >$350 million for the Bank’s top tier clientele. He subsequently joined MeesPiereson (now owned by ABN AMRO) as Head of Private Banking after establishing that business in the Cayman Islands and then Managing Director of MeesPierson (Bahamas). Since 2005, David has served as President and CEO of Mid-Ocean Consulting Ltd., which guides both institutions and individuals on sophisticated international structuring and private placement insurance related strategies.
Gerhard Vorster - Strategic Advisor
Gerhard is the Managing Director of Quidni Advisory, working directly with boards and senior leaders. A practicing strategist with 3 decades of experience in the consulting industry, Gerhard was the Chief Strategy Officer for Deloitte Australia and Asia-Pacific, as well as Managing Partner for Deloitte across South Africa, East Asia, Australia and Asia Pacific. Gerhard was a key strategist and executive in designing and implementing the Deloitte Australia growth story from 2003. Gerhard is currently a director of Seeing Machines Limited (a company listed on the AIM board of the London Stock Exchange), an Alternate Director of Brisbane Airport Corporation and the Patron Emeritus of Good Design Australia. He was the inaugural Chairman of the RMIT College of Business Advisory Board and has a continued interest in the future of technology in business.
